FAQ

What should I do first in Destroy a Vault?
Redeem the codes first — RELEASE, UPDATE and 100K in the in-game Settings menu. Free starting resources mean your first rolls and upgrades happen sooner.
Do I play Destroy a Vault alone or with others?
Both work. Servers hold up to six players, and boss vaults are built for group raids, but your own vault, army and income are yours alone — solo play is fully viable.
What do I spend Cash on first?
Fill your deployable roster before anything else — every deployed robot raises Gold production. After the roster, upgrade your strongest attacker.
Is Destroy a Vault free?
Yes — it is a standard Roblox experience, joinable free from the official game page. It passed 2.1 million visits in its first two and a half months.

Your first thirty minutes, in order

Destroy a Vault is an incremental simulator: robots crack vaults, vaults produce Gold, Gold becomes Cash, Cash makes stronger robots. The official loop is “roll for rare robots, build an army to attack your vault, smelt Gold and turn it into Cash, upgrade your robots and expand your base.” Your first session is just that loop, started correctly. Follow the steps in order.

Step 1: Join and redeem the codes

Launch the game from its official Roblox page and wait for your base to load fully. Then, before anything else, open Settings and redeem the three live codes — RELEASE, UPDATE and 100K — exactly as written. Full clicks in the redemption guide; the current list lives on the codes page.

Why first: whatever lands joins your economy immediately and compounds through everything you do this session.

Step 2: Roll your first robots

Head to the roll interface and spend what you can on your first robots. Early rolls are the highest-value pulls in the game — an empty roster improves with almost anything. Do not chase the rarest tier yet; field a working roster first. The rolling guide explains the system; the short version is: pulls now, perfection later.

Step 3: Deploy everything on the vault

Open your army screen and put every robot you own onto the vault. Production is an army-wide stat — empty slots are unpaid slots. The army building guide covers why depth beats a single hero unit early on.

Step 4: Smelt Gold into Cash, immediately

As Gold accumulates from the assault, smelt it into Cash. This is the step new players let stall: Gold in a pile is not earning. The economy guide covers the loop; the habit is simple — smelt after every raid, spend after every smelt.

Step 5: Buy in the right order

With your first Cash, spend in this order:

  1. More rolls if you have empty army slots — roster first, always
  2. Upgrade your strongest robot — guaranteed damage, immediate income effect (upgrade guide)
  3. Base expansion once the roster and core upgrades are moving

Step 6: Know your next milestone: a stronger vault

Your starter vault is designed to be outgrown. Watch its time-to-burst — when it starts melting instantly, that is your cue to move up the vault ladder for bigger payouts. And once you see other players’ armies stacked on an ornate target, you have met the game’s current headline feature: boss vault raids.

Step 7: Log out correctly

Your last minute matters more than your first: full roster deployed, Cash spent, best vault tier running — then quit. Robots earn Gold while you are offline, and the army you leave behind decides the pile you return to.

The loop, compressed

From session two onward the game is simply: log in → collect offline Gold → smelt → reinvest (roster → upgrades → rolls) → climb a vault tier when cracks get instant → log out deployed. When systems start competing for your Cash, the progression route orders them.
